Tuxie is still looking for a foster or permanent home!
(7/26/2014; updated 6/21/2015) Tuxie is a large Black & White Tuxedo female rescued from College Avenue Campus in Fall 2013, who is seeking adoption or foster care. Approximately 2 years old now, Tuxie has been spayed, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, and is negative for FIV/Feleuk.
Tuxie has been overcoming her shyness of people and now is very vocal for attention with her foster adult. She loves to be petted on her head and chin, flops down on her side to stretch happily, and is ready for the next step of being fostered or adopted by an adult who is an experienced cat socializer. She would make ideal companion for adult(s) who live in a small apartment so she can race around when she gets the "crazies" and satisfy her great curiosity, but return easily to her safe home base spot.
Tuxie loves wet food, uses her litterbox, and loves to rub her face and body while standing on her tippy-toes. Tuxie would be ideal with an experienced cat-socializer as her next foster person or permanent care-giver.
Prospective adopters will be asked to complete an application form (DOC | PDF), and sign an adoption contract if the application is approved. Our adoption fee for one cat is $100, or $150 for two cats together. The adoption fee helps cover our veterinary costs.
If you are interested in fostering or adopting or Tuxie, please contact us!

"Sweet Simon" needs a foster or permanent home!
(2/25/2015) Simon (at right; click for a larger image), an extremely loveable - and people-loving - cat, needs a new indoor home! Simon is very calm, and acclimates to new people and responsible children very easily and happily! He just wants to follow you around the house, or lounge on the couch with you. Simon is a great cat to keep you company!
Simon is front-paw declawed, and would be fine living with a friendly dog (he lives with one now). He would prefer to be the only cat in a new situation, if possible.
Simon's owner is heartbroken to have to part with him, and would greatly appreciate the chance to have him stay in the Highland Park area with a new loving family that she can stay in touch with.
For more information, please contact owner Lori at loriyah[at]gmail[dot]com.
